Jack Arthur Singletary was born in Klamuth Falls, Oregon on November 5th, 1937. He passed away on Friday, June 8th, 2012 in League City, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Elsie Singletary; sisters, Luella and Gwendolyn, and brothers, Howard and Kenneth.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Polly Tanner Singletary of Bacliff, Texas who will always love him and miss him greatly. He is also survived by daughter, Elaine Miles and husband Bobby of League City, Texas; sister, Jeanie Dudley and late husband Lonnie of Roswell, New Mexico; brother, Bob Singletary and wife Fay of Doris, CA; sister by marriage, Ms. Clarine Jennes of League City, Texas; grandchilden, Drew Gibson and his wife, of North Dakota, Shawnie Gibson of Pennsylvania, Neal Burt and wife Lan of League City, Texas, James Burt of Houston, Texas, Mike Burt and wife Susan of Dallas, Texas, and Wanda Hudson of Hitchcock, Texas, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jack loved watching sports on T.V., especially baseball and football. He was proud to be an American and liked reading anything about our history. He was a member of the Bacliff Eagles Club for ten years.
The family will receive guests at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 16th, 2012 at Carnes Funeral Home - Texas City with a 2:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service to follow.
