Henry Bell Simple, Jr.
Henry Bell Simple, Jr., was born January 14th, 1936 in the little town of Brazoria, Texas. Early in his life he was married to Minnie Simple, and later he met and fell in love with is long time companion Jeweline Johnson.
Henry was a long time refinery which took him many places such as Alaska, and Canada. He retired from the Refinery after many years, but his work did not stop there, In Brazoria and the surrounding area, most knew him as the “wood man,” because he provided chopped wood to the community. Henry was a master carpenter, and yard maintenance man; a “Jack of all trades” and a mastered them all, in order to provide for his family.
Henry Simple passed away at Creek Side Nursing Home in Clute Texas, on Thursday June 6th surrounded by Loved Ones. Henry is preceded in death by both his mother and father, one brother and a sister.
He leaves to cherish his memory, long time companion; Jeweline Johnson, son; Carl Lee Simple, daughters; Jeanetta Simple, and Cynthia Johnson, grandchild, whom he raised; Brandie Nicole Johnson, grandchildren including; Rotina Johnson, Shantai Thompson, and Sharail Johnson, and great grandchildren including; Ashley Johnson, Calvin Hardy, Neveah Scott, Szyron Scott, and Déjà El Amin.
The Family will receive guests for visitation at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591, from 11A until 1PM, June 11, 2013. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 1PM also at Carnes Funeral Home. Memorials can be sent to the funeral home.
