Harry Lloyd Vienne
Harry Lloyd Vienne, 87, passed away peacefully on March 24 at Gulf Heath care in Texas City, TX. Where he had resided for 7 years, suffering with dementia, and other health issues.
Harry was born in Dallas, Texas Sept. 22, 1928.
Harry graduated from Ball High School in Galveston, TX, where he met the love of his life, Betty Boyd. They were married in 1948.
Harry joined the Air Force in 1952, in Harlington, TX. He was discharged in 1956, where they moved to Houston, tx with their newborn daughter, Melissa.
Harry started working for Houston Belt & Terminal, railroad as an train engineer , until his retirement. He was proud to say "I drive a choo choo".
Harry loved dancing, music, friends, family time, eating sweets,and collecting "goodies". He had one of everything and an excessive amount of other. He was a loving, caring man who would help anyone, anytime. He often said his family was everything to him. He was a joker, prankster, and instigator, but still loved by many. As his dementia progressed he had problems telling his jokes but kept the staff at nursing home amused by his antics.
He is survived by Daughter, Melissa V. Fillippa spouse Joe, grandson Paul Fillippa spouse Ashley, and a new great grandson Parker Fillippa.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Thelma Vienne. Wife, Betty Vienne, and daughter Lezlee Vienne.
Harry requested that his body be donated to science. There will be a celebration of His Life, April 9th at daughters residence, 5203 Calvert Lane in Dickinson, Tx at 4 pm.
