Gonzalo Adan Garcia

Gonzalo Garcia

It saddens the family deeply of the sudden loss of our beloved son, big brother, and uncle, Gonzalo Adan Garcia. He began his life in Rivas, Nicaragua and then grew from adolescence to adulthood in Houston, Texas. Gonzalo was a talented artist who created elaborate portraits and customized apparel. Every part of Gonzalito’s life was expressive, over-the-top, and full of color; his laugh was memorable and energetic because of that. He was a mountain of a man with a heart to measure and a character unique to him and his father. It would be mistaken to say he himself fathered no children, because his devotion and care for his sister and her children would attest otherwise. He will be survived by his mother, Gryska Rivera(Luis)Villanueva, his siblings, Hazel Garcia, Justo Garcia, Agnieszka Villanueva Garcia, Rosa (Daniel) Rodriguez, Geraldo Garcia, Eduardo Garcia, his nephews and nieces, Brianna Tolbert, Dominic Maryland, Gonzalo Solomon Garcia, Eduardo Garcia, Rosemary (Juan) Lazo, Crystal Rodriguez (Carlos), and beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Services will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church on December 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. His final resting place will be back home in Rivas, Nicaragua on January 13, 2018 at 2:00PM to be laid to rest with his grandparents, Jose Adan and Hazel Sinclair Rivera.

We will always carry you in our hearts and remember you for the good you brought to us.

“The hour of departure has arrived and we go our own ways; I to die and you to live. Which is better? Only God knows.” –Socrates
