Glenda Sue Wilson
Glenda Sue Palko Wilson, 71, was born in Galveston, Texas on November 5, 1939. She passed away on February 22, 2011 at Christus St. John's Hospital in Nassau Bay.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Glennie Palko and her husband Paul C. Wilson, Jr. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, quilting, sewing for her grandchildren and serving the Lord with her many talents.
Glenda is survived by her daughters, Beth Crocker and husband Terry, Amy Flipse and husband Gene; son, Stephen Wilson and wife Kelly; grandsons, Jack VanDever, Grant Crocker, Grayson Crocker, Ethan VanDever; granddaughters, Caroline VanDever, and Madison Wilson; sister, Marion Bond; aunt, Lillian O’Bryan; uncle, George Palko; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27, 2011, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Richard L. Sumners officiating.
A reception to follow at New Hope Baptist Church, 3610 FM 646 East, Dickinson, TX.
A private graveside will be held on Monday at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
