Gerald Ennis

Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Ennis, a life-long resident of La Marque, Texas passed away peacefully in his home on March 3, 2018.

Jerry was born on October 21, 1952 in Galveston, Texas.  He graduated from La Marque High School and immediately joined the Air Force where he was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi.  After being honorably discharged from the service, Jerry returned to La Marque where he was a self-employed carpenter.  He enjoyed fishing, surfing, watching sports, being outdoors and loved all animals.  Jerry had a kind and gentle spirit who was a kid at heart.  You could always find him walking around barefoot, listening to classic rock and playing games with his children or grandchildren.  He became a friend the moment you spoke to him.  He was an extremely intelligent man that could talk about anything and often won game shows while sitting on his living room couch.

He is preceded in death by his parents Harry Ennis and Ollie Ennis, his wife Kimberly Ennis, and his daughter Rose Ennis.

Jerry is survived by his brother Eugene Ennis (Evelyn); his 5 children, Javonne Havard (Matthew), Lalanya Maldonado (Jason), Thomas Ennis (Candice), Dalton Ennis (Angela) and Miranda Ennis; his 9 grandchildren, Devin, Jordan, Lalanya, Grayson, Valerie, Arianna, Ezra, Ever and Isabella; and his great-granddaughter, Eva
