Genaro Gonzales aka “Jerry or Mike”, age 57, passed away peacefully June 21, 2016 at home due to his battle with lung and bone cancer. He was born on November 17, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Joe A. and Vickey Ann Gonzales. He married his longtime friend and love, Leticia Gonzales, in Galveston, Texas.
Jerry loved to love people and he loved to work. He was a rare example of an exemplary father, friend and just an overall person. He set a great example that a person can be sensitive and humble; but yet, be one of the strongest persons anyone has met. He showed that you can show your tears and feelings, and still be a strong person in each way. He also showed that no matter what you were suffering in life you were the only person that can control how you lived your life.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his son, Steve Lee Gonzales, brothers, Luis, Bernie, Raymundo and Edward “Eddie” Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife, Leticia Gonzales; sons, Jerry (wife Juanita), Ray and Espire Gonzales; daughter, Marina Gonzales; sisters, Olga, Carol, Virginia, Corina, Gloria, Marina and Ida Gonzales; brothers, Albert and Gilbert; grand-daughters, Kelly, Kaylee, Lexia and Lizette Gonzales, and a 1000 cousins and as many great friends!!! Lastly, he will be missed by his extended family from Krogers.
