He graduated with a BA in psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology.  Fred married Patricia Benetier in 1956.  They lived in Chicago for many years until he received a job offer he couldn’t refuse in sunny Galveston.  The family of seven were excited with this new adventure.  Fred loved the island life with year round golfing and boating.

He loved teaching his children to water-ski and handle a ski boat.  Fred was a mentor to many young people.  His house had an open door policy for their many friends and family. They often gathered around the dinner table to discuss everything from current events to how to play poker.  Fred loved to debate and play the devil’s advocate.

After his stroke, he recovered and returned to work. When Patricia suffered a devastating stroke, he rose to the occasion despite his own significant physical challenges.  He dedicated his later years to taking care of her at home for 13 years.  He was a great inspiration to all of us.  During that time the family shared many joyous celebrations.  HIs relentless optimism, positive energy, and love of his family and friends will long be missed and remembered.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at  Oak Creek Bible Church,144 Park Ave, League City, TX 77573.
