Devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather

 

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Clement, 80, passed away Tuesday April 12th, 2016 at his home in Santa Fe, Texas. Born in Robson, West Virginia October 19th, 1935 to parents, Charles and Opal Clement, he was the devoted husband of Beverly Clement for 46 years.

Upon graduating High School, he joined the United States Air Force in 1954 where he proudly served 20 years, including a tour in the Vietnam War. Ranked a TSgt/E-6, he retired a decorated non commissioned officer in 1974 with nine military ribbons.

Frank will be remembered by his closest loved ones for his smile, his laugh, and most of all, his love for his family. His favorite hobbies included spending his days outside with his grandkids, and listening to his large record collection.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Opal Clement, brothers, Kenneth, Bill, Thomas, and Arthur Clement. His memory lives on in his wife, Beverly; sons, Thomas Clement with wife, Jessica Mason, Timothy Clement; daughter, Veronica Clement-James with husband Dan James. Grandchildren, Ashley Clement-Winton with husband David Winton, Christopher Clement, Fallon Mason, Dustin Mason, Jack Wright, Kimberly Gietka, Jonathan Williams, Courtney Williams, Daniel James, Cherish James, Hunter Clement, and Grayson Clement. Great-grandchildren, Jesselyn North, Bradley North, Maverick Winton, and Elaina Leake.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Carnes Funeral Home, (exit 15) 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591. Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Carnes Funeral Home.
