Frank Ray Botello
Frank Ray Botello, 75, passed away Friday January 5, 2018 at Jennie Sealy Hospital. Mr. Botello was born in
Galveston, TX on August 30, 1942. Mr. Botello joined the United States Navy after graduating from Ball High
School serving 6 years before his honorable discharge in 1968. Mr. Botello also achieved a Bachelors of
Architecture from the University of Houston in 1979. He worked at BSA-Architects, Inc. as an architectural
designer until his retirement in July of 2010.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Botello, Sr. and Tomasa Sepeda Botello, brothers Donnie
Botello, Gilbert Botello II., and Guadalupe Botello. He is survived by his four beloved daughters Margot
Burchard and husband Brent Burchard, Lorraine and husband Peter Ochoa, Desiree Harnett and husband Greg Harnett, Lillie
Reyna, sister Mary Farris of Bellingham, MA, Peter Botello of Juarez, Mexico, sister Pauline Wylie of La
Marque, TX, brother Philip Robert Botello of La Marque, TX and grandchildren, numerous nieces and
Uncle Frankie, as his family called him, loved to spend time in God’s word and with his family. He especially
enjoyed watching the U of H Cougars and Houston Rockets.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Carnes Funeral Home located at 3100 Gulf Freeway
Texas City, Texas at 5:00 p.m., with a Memorial to begin at 6:00 p.m.
