In 1961 she married Matilde R. Bustos, who was a military service member.   Being an Army wife she was able to accompany her husband overseas to Taipei, Taiwan and then throughout the United States to New Jersey, Texas, Arizona and California.
She worked for many years with GTE and Rockwell Industries in El Paso TX as an assembly technician.  She was also employed by Hobby Lobby and JoAnns Fabrics.
Mom enjoyed knitting, quilting and doing arts and crafts.  She also provided Spanish lessons to her fellow residents at her senior center.
Mom was a devout Christian follower of the Lord for over 30 years.  She was an active member of Dominion Church in League City TX.
Our beautiful and wonderful mother was a great provider, devoted wife, and a very loving grandmother and great grandmother who will be immensely missed by those who loved her dearly.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children; Sandra (José) Acosta, Corpus Christi TX, Susan (Julio) Aguilar, League City TX, Miguel Angel Bustos, Newport RI, and Esteban Bustos, Dallas TX.
She has eleven grand children and three great grand children.  She is also survived by four sisters and one brother and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would personally like to thank the managers and residents of Maplewood Crossing Senior Living Center who were like a second family to her and
Kindred Hospice for their support and care.  Our deepest appreciation goes out to the staff and nurses of hall 500 at Regent Care Center for their exceptional care they provided to our mother during her final months.
