Faye Rhoads Dixon
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”January 19, 1948, Faye was the first-born child to Willie B. and Mamie Lee Horace Rhoads. On Friday, August 25, 2017 she made it to her “Home Over the Mountain” and she got there on time! Born in Trinity County, she accepted Christ at the age of 11. She was baptized by Rev. E. Westley into New Hope Baptist Church where she served faithfully with the Youth Department and Senior Choir. She served as School secretary, Mission president, president of the R. L. District Mission, Church Clerk, and was an avid leader for financial drives. She graduated from G W. Carver Highschool in 1966. She was the last Miss George Washington Carver 1965-66.
