Ernest Foote

Ernest DeMoulin Foote LCDR USN Ret passed away 28 October 2015 after a long battle with cancer and
congestive heart failure surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born 27 December 1935 to
Glen Lockwood Foote and Mary Elizabeth DeMoulin in Denver Colorado.

After graduating from the University of ldaho with an engineering degree he was commissioned an
Ensign in the US Navy where he spent 20 years as a naval aviator. Back in civilian life he was a
commercial fisherman in Virginia before coming to Houston as a NASA contractor with Singer, Link
Division, working on the space shuttle trainer. Later he was employed as a systems engineer in oil
movement control systems with various companies, retiring from Ferrante lnternational Controls in
Sugarland, TX. Flying was his greatest joy, along with sailing, SCUBA diving and bicycling in his later
years along with watching vintage movies.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Elaine Bauer Foote, his beloved Husky companion Rascal,
daughters and sons-in-law,Laura Smith (Tpm), Linda Martin (Gary Riley), Lisa Wells (Emmitt), Louise
Welch (Mark) Janet Foote-Fretz {David}, Jennifer Medved tJeff}, Iike a daughter, Connie Thornton,
grandchildren, Jenflo, Mandy, Cassy, Sammy, Donald, Krists, Michael, Christopher, Jesse, Wylder, Jasofi,
Kara, Eris, Brayden and Alana, great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Joshua, Kayley, Katlyn and Ryaff, End sisters
Vera Wallen and Annie Mills.

Services will be later at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC.
