Elmer Dean Landers
Elmer Dean Landers (Deano) was born to Olen and Ora Landers September 30, 1933 in Floydada, Texas. He passed away on August 18, 2019 at the age of 85. He was the husband of Margaret Landers and they shared 61 years of marriage together.
He served in the United States Navy from 1952-1958 and the reserves from 1958-1960. He worked as a draftsman for Camco, then various construction jobs and retired from the City of Houston. He and his wife Margaret were long time residents of Pasadena, Texas and members of Golden Acres Baptist Church. They moved to Santa Fe, Texas in 2006. He enjoyed many activities through his lifetime including boating, fishing, bowling, woodworking, and gardening. His most recent activities included a good game of dominoes and teaching his great granddaughter Abby how to work puzzles.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, son Michael Landers and wife Lisa, daughter Andrea Mancuso and husband Sam, grandchildren Adam Tucker and wife Ashley, Joshua Tucker and fiancee Madelyne McCollum, Emily Burden and husband James, Scott Mancuso and fiancee Aimee Boswell, Zachary Mancuso, great grandchildren Abby and Wyatt Tucker and Margaret Burden.
His family will remember and cherish the love he has for them and keep with them many moments of laugher and joy that they shared with him.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 5pm and a celebration of life to begin at 6pm. Services are being held at Carnes Funeral Home located at 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, Texas 77591 409-986-9900
