Elizabeth Theresa O'Donnell
Elizabeth Theresa O'Donnell was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 15, 1987. She passed away on January 2, 2012 at the age of 24 years old, in South Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her family.
Elizabeth is survived by parents, James and Gian O'Donnell of Texas; her sisters Daisy and Shirley; her brothers Barrett and Colin O'Donnell. On her father's side, her grandparents were Patrick James and Shirley O'Donnell of Illinois; and uncle John O'Donnell. On her mother's side, she is survived by grandfather Chuc B. Giap of Houston; great uncle Phan Giap and wife great aunt Phan; aunt Sinh Giap of Pasadena; aunt Thanh Giap and husband Nhien Pham and their children: Khoa, Anh, and Nhi; uncle Hung Giap and wife Dzung, and children: Linh, Hoang, Nhu, and Lan; aunt Thu Giap and children: Xuan and Tam of Austin; uncle Brandon Cuong Giap, M.D., Director of Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego and wife Lisa, and their children: Isabel, Christian, and Elizabeth; uncle Huan Giap, M.D., a P.T. Chief Medical Officer of San Diego and wife Ngoc, and their children: Fantine and Bosco; aunt Hang Giap and husband Hiep Lam, and their children: Christopher and Nicholas of Houston; uncle Long Giap and wife Hai Yen, and their children: Gordon and Joseph of Houston; aunt Minh Giap, pharmacist, and husband James; uncle Benton Giap, M.D., of Stanford University; uncle Tom Giap M.D. of California; Uncle Co Giap of California; Uncle, Father Damien Giap of California.
Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Pasadena, Texas and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Elizabeth will be remembered most for her beautiful smile, her heart for animals, and willingness to help others. She was also a student at the University of Houston, and hoped to open her own business. She touched a countless number of people in her life and will be missed forever.
The visitation will be held at Carnes Funeral Home in South Houston, TX on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 5 PM until 8:30 PM. The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 5560 Laurel Creek Way, Houston, TX 77017 on Saturday, January 7, 2011 at 11 AM. A graveside will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery after the funeral mass.
