Efren Gregorio Cavazos
Efren Gregorio Cavazos was born in Galveston, Texas on July 14, 1984. He passed away peacefully Saturday, May 20, 2017 at UTMB in Galveston surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Efren is survived by his parents, Donna and Efren Cavazos of La Marque, Texas; brother, Johnathan Cavazos of La Marque, Texas; beloved girlfriend, Kitty Vanskike of Texas City, Texas; nine aunts, six uncles, numerous cousins and many close friends.
Efren will join his grandparents John and Mary Dalton; and Gregorio and Marcelina Cavazos; two uncles, and two cousins in Heaven.
Efren never took his life on Earth for granted, making an impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. He spent his days working as part of the Delta Valve family, and in his free time with his family and friends making memories. Efren loved hunting, fishing and traveling. He never met a tractor or Dodge he didn’t love, and was often found happily working under the hood of a car. Above all, Efren will be remembered for the way he made everyone feel so special. His giving spirit was evident. He never turned his back on anyone in need, whether a stranger or a friend, and had a special spot in his heart for all the little ones in his life.
Efren’s family would like to thank the Surgical ICU team at UTMB for their excellent care and support.
The family will be honoring Efren’s life with a memorial service officiated by Reverend Aaron Hrochovina on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the Memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
