Drew Holbrook Jr.


Drew Paul Holbrook, Jr. was born in Texas City, Texas.  He passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at the age of thirty-nine.

He is preceded in death by his father, Drew Paul Holbrook, Sr. of Texas City, Texas, grandfather, Doc Holbrook, and grandmother,  “Nanny” Mary Moore of Texas City.

At the early age of four, Drew would ride on Uncle Lynn's shoulders to the corner store for a treat. He loved to fish, but homework was first. Drew would sometimes do his homework in the boat on the way to fish. Drew accepted Christ as his Savior in 1984. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1993 and was also a graduate of the College of the Mainland

Fire Academy.  In 2011, he graduated from the apprenticeship program of his Local 68 to become a journeyman commercial plumber.

Drew was a loving and caring person that always had a smile on his face.  He loved animals, especially his dog Manford.  Drew's favorite things to do were riding his Harley and dancing.  Drew was a member of the Backwoods Cookers and he loved Rodeo time.

Drew is survived by his mother and dad Barbara & Paul Clark of Rockdale, Texas.  Brother Sean Holbrook, Sister Lauren Holbrook, grandmother, Sunny Holbrook, and grandpa, James A. Moore, Sr.  and his wife of 10 years and special friend, Romana Holbrook.  As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins as well as a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shaen Medlin, James Moore, III, John Moore, Johnathan Holbrook,Sean Holbrook, Billy Moore, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Wilson and Danny Holbrook   .

Guests are invited to share in the Celebration of Life Visitation for Mr. Drew Paul Holbrook Jr. from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 24th, 2014 at Carnes Funeral Home -Texas City, TX, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591.  Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25th at Arcadia First Baptist Church of Santa Fe 14828 Hwy 6, Santa Fe, Texas 77517. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.

Family was a large part of Drew's life...He will be missed by all.
