Dora Gonzales

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Dora Gonzales, has gone to be with the Angels on February 7, 2015. Born in Cuero, TX October 3, 1932, Dora lived a full life and will be remembered for her many achievements, including her porcelain and ceramic crafts, intricately designed Fabergé eggs, quilting and expertise jewelry. Her pastimes included playing cards and spending time with her family. She loved a good joke and lots of laughter.

She is preceded in death by parents, Sabino & Teresita Rodriguez and brothers, Benjamin & Robert Rodriguez.

Survived by husband, Estanislao (Larry) Gonzales of Texas City, TX; daughters, Sylvia Almendarez (Felix) of Texas City, TX, Linda Fernandez (Ray) of Victoria, TX; son, Ruben Garza Jr.(Debra) of Victoria, TX; 14 grandchildren, Veronica Carreon (Adrian) of Texas City, TX; Theresa Myers (Duane) of Seabrook, TX; Paul Delgado (Tracy) of Victoria, TX; Brenda Pena (Joe) of Port Lavaca, TX; Joe Camacho (Delfina) of League City, TX;  Amanda Deering (Gary) of Texas City, TX; Sarah Lopez (David) of Port Lavaca, TX; Ray Fernandez Jr. of Victoria, TX; Tony Fernandez of Austin, TX; Marissa, David, Phillip, Amanda and Jacob Garza; 17 great-grandchildren, Nicole Sanders (Allen),Drew Carreon (Katy), Anyssa Carreon; William Myers; Marcus Delgado (Christina),Alec & Emily Jennings; Isaac, Leon, Avery & Doralin Pena; Keely Thompson, Matthew Deering; Charlie & Jolee Rosa, Austin Pacheco; Phoenix Fernandez, also with two more great-grandchildren making their appearance this summer; 5 great-great grandchildren, Ali & Trent Platt, Tanner & Mallory Sanders; Brealynn Delgado and two more great-great grandchildren that will make their appearance this year; sisters, Lidia Veliz (Fred) of Hutto, TX, Esther Bustos (Richard) of Bay City, TX, Sally Sanchez (Domasio) of Needville, TX, Olga Ramos(Jimmy) of Freeport, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Joe Camacho, Paul Delgado, Tony Fernandez, Drew Carreon, Marcus Delgado and Matthew Deering. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Deering, Adrian Carreon, Duane Myers, Charlie Rosa, Isaac Pena, Felix Almendarez, Ray Fernandez Sr.,

Guests are invited to share in the Celebration of Life Visitation for Mrs. Dora Rodriguez Gonzales from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 with a 7pm Vigil Service. Funeral Services to follow Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Carnes Funeral Home - Texas City, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591.  Interment Services to follow services.
