During Donny’s time on this side of Heaven, he played baseball for the Galveston Little League and Ball High Tornado’s as a pitcher. He was named to the Little League Hall of Fame. He attended Wharton Junior College and continued his passion of baseball by coaching for the American Legion for many years. He worked at Dienst Distributing/Faust for over 35 years as a salesman. Special Thank you to Craig Colelli for everything you did.
The love that Donny had for his two children, Seaver and Darci was so amazing. He was so proud of Seaver and all his accomplishments. He was a great supporter and wore those Friendswood and SMU Mustang shirts and hats with pride. Darci was always by his side and his little princess. He worshipped the ground she walked on. His heart melted as she had that magic to wrap him around her little finger from the time she was born. They were truly best friends and had a special daddy/daughter bond.
The family would like to thank everyone for the outpour of prayers and support during Donny’s fight with GBS. And a special thank you to their family/friend Dr. David Marshall with UTMB and the special care of the UTMB ICU Neuro nurses and UTMB Dr’s, Alok Dabi, Anish Bhardwaj and Noushim Jazebu. As well as ICU Nurse Janice Willis and CCO Cheryl Kelly-Webster with Kindred Hospital.
