Destinie Michelle Thompson
Destinie Michelle Thompson was to everybody, exactly what they needed.
She became the youngest daughter to Victor Thompson and Priscilla Azore on March 24, 1996 and a baby sister to her three older siblings Stephen, Victoria, and Priscilla Thompson.
As a child Destinie serenaded our family with her beautiful vocals and wasn't shy about performing in front of strangers either. From beauty pageants and dance contests to volleyball and swimming Destine had an adventurous spirit and tried everything at least once.
In her teen years Destine developed a love for art that truly flourished at Ed White Memorial High School. She could take a plain bathroom trashcan and turn it into a bright colorful masterpiece and if you were fortunate enough to have one of her drawings gifted to you it meant the world.
After graduating in 2014, Destine returned to her first love — animals. Destine has enjoyed caring for animals since she was in diapers and you could always count on her to come home with a stray pet to take in. She turned this passion into a career at PetSmart and was on the fast-track to becoming a top dog groomer.
When the pain of this world became too much to bear, God took Destinie to be with him and enter her eternal life on Monday, December 7, 2015. Her spirit is carried on by her mom, dad, brother, and two sisters. In addition to her grandparents Reverend Freddie and Lourita Alfred, extended family, friends and her dog Bambi.
We were blessed to have Destinie during her 19 years among us. We will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, and her love for eating Pistachio Almond ice-cream straight out of the carton. Destinie worked very hard all her life and made a difference in all of ours. She will be truly missed.
A Celebration of Destinie’s Life will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2015 beginning at 1 PM in the Chapel of Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591. Memorials may be sent to the Funeral Home.
