Dawn Marie Rose
Dawn Marie Rose was born in Buffalo, New York on August 25th 1959 and passed away peacefully at home in Richmond, Texas on December 11th, 2014 at the age of 55.
Dawn attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in May, 1999. Upon graduation she began working as Gallery Manager with Bad River Artworks in Aberdeen, South Dakota. In 2001 Dawn moved to Richmond, Texas after accepting a position with Lamar Consolidated ISD as an art teacher. Her dedication to the teaching profession inspired her to pursue her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University, graduating in 2003. Her continuous commitment to art education was evident throughout her teaching career and service as a Texas Art Educator Association Regional Representative.
When Dawn was not busy teaching and learning she enjoyed life to the fullest. Her passion in life was art, specifically painting. She spent hours perfecting beautiful pieces of work admired by many. She also enjoyed the outdoors and spent her summers camping and kayaking with family and friends.
Cherishing her memory will be her close friend, Robin Wilborn, daughters, Michele Tindall and Rori Christine Hutcheson, son in law, Tyree Tindall, a granddaughter, Jacquelyn Rose Tindall, her parents, Bill and Marge Kress, brothers, Bob Ando, Bill Kress Jr., and Jim Kress and sisters, Lori Sullivan and Michele Kress.
Dawn touched the lives of many, both young and old. There are countless people who loved her and will miss her dearly.
