David Edward Rompot
Walter Braubach was born in Frankenthal, Germany on November 26, 1953, the son of Rosmarie Braubach. He was adopted by Ruth Anna Palmer Rompot and Major Edward Rompot on December 10, 1953 and was named David Edward Rompot on that date. He passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at the age of 60 in Seabrook, Texas. His father and mother preceded him in death.
David is survived by his wife, Karen and son, Andis.
David grew up in San Antonio, Texas and has been in the Seabrook-Clear Lake Shores area for the past 30 years. He found fulfillment as a custom homebuilder, helping customers construct dream homes paying particularly close attention to quality and details. David especially enjoyed working with people developing long-term relationships with associates. He was a member of the GHBA.
If David wasn’t working, he spent his time with family cooking with them, traveling and scuba diving. He was a skilled golfer, learning from his parents at an early age. He occasionally went deep-sea fishing with friends.
David was a member of Seabrook UMC and regularly attended BSF. You could find him doing manual work as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday April 11 at 2pm at the Seabrook United Methodist Church. In lieu of normal remembrances, friends who wish may make a contribution to an education fund for Andis Rompot. David loved his son deeply and would want him to have the best education possible. Checks should be made out to Charles Schwab FBO Andis Rompot with the account number 3458-8258 in the memo line. Send to Jim Mans at PO Box 290049, Kerrville, Texas 78029.
