Damian Torres

Damian B. Torres past away in a tragic automobile accident Saturday, September 21, 2013. Damian was born June 2, 1959 to Demetrio and Bertha Torres Jr. in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was the second oldest of 8 siblings.
 
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Demetrio and Susana Torres Sr and Arturo and Cruz Berlanga all of Robstown, Texas. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Cynthia Torres and son Julian Roger Torres, stepchildren Jason Banks (Sabrina), Bambi Hoit (Phil), brothers Demetrio III, Daniel (Maggie), Michael (Rose), Edward (Ann), Sammy, sisters Dianne  Duron(Michael), Doris Butler (Thad), sister-in-law Lydia Montrose (Ed), extended family Bryan and Patrick Torres. Damian is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
 
Damian was a graduate of Texas City high school. Damian was a master of masonry works, skilled craftsman and enjoyed making anything with his hands including great weekend BBQ's. Damian loved spending evenings with his oldest brother Demetrio watching any sporting event or playing pool. He and Cynthia spent many evenings with his parents enjoying mom's home cooked meals. Damian was employed with Brand Energy Solutions, a contractor with Dow Chemical,  as an Industrial painter.

The Visitation will be held at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City,TX Thursday the 26th of September from 5-7pm with the Rosary following. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Shrine of the True Cross in Dickinson, TX Friday the 27th of September at 10am.
