Clyde O’Neal Wilson, 66 of Texas City passed away May 29, 2011 at Mainland Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born in Bexar County, Texas on August 19, 1944, to Clyde and Evelyn Boyer, and
was a lifetime Galveston County resident.

He served in the United States Army as a helicopter gunner in the Vietnam War and after an honorable discharge he married Camie Ray David (Pat).

He was employed at Mainland Concrete, Inc. for the last 14 years.

Mr. Wilson loved his kids and grandkids. They were his pride and joy. He devoted his life to them, taking them to movies and buying ice cream for them.  He loved to play games and dominoes and to play practical jokes on all his friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Camie Ray David (Pat) and his parents, Clyde and Evelyn Boyer.

Survivors are his sons, Robert O’Neal Wilson of Texas City; Doyce Wayne Gay ( Bubba) and daughter-in-law Jeri Lynn Gay of Alvin, TX;  daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Marie and Brent Carter Biarnesen of La Marque; granddaughters, Mara Anne Rohde Wilson, and Alana Rayann Biarnesen ; and  grandson Brent Carter Biarnesen JR.

The family will be honoring his life with a memorial service, on Monday June 6th from 6-to 9 p.m., at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway in Texas City.  Pastor Richard Robeson of First Baptist Church of Dickinson will be officiating.

His family loved him very much and he will be missed. He was the best PaPa.
