Clifford "Cliff" R. Simmons III
La Marque, Texas resident, Clifford Rudolph Simmons III passed away at his home. Clifford is preceded in death by father, Clifford Rudolph Simmons Jr. of Galveston TX.
Born in Verdun, France on June 20, 1965 as the only son to his father and mother, Barbara Perry, he became not only their first born, he was her shining star. The family resided in Vitry-le-Francois, France, then moved to Galveston, TX one year later. Raised in West Texas City, he later met his life partner, Angela Collins where they then became parents of a beautiful daughter, Lashae Collins.
After earning his diploma in 1984, he continued his residency in Galveston County where he earned his 3rd degree black belt.
He is survived by beloved mother, Barbara Perry; daughter, La Shae Collins; grandchildren, Kameron, Kaleb, and Kiersten Brewer; sister, Stephanie Isaac and brother-in-law Staffon Isaac; uncle, Lawrence Simmons; niece, Ahya Speaker; nephews, Staffon Jr. and Jair Isaac and a host of cousins and friends.
Clifford, also known as “Cliff” truly enjoyed his family as they shared the same sentiments for him. His mother Barbara called Cliff her ‘running buddy’ as they indulged in many shopping trips. Cliff loved music and fine dining and will be most remembered for his genuine smile and inability to meet a stranger.
Guests are invited to share in the Celebration of Life Visitation for Mr. Clifford “Cliff” R. Simmons III from 10-11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 with Memorial Services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Carnes Funeral Home -Texas City, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591.
