Charles (Chuck) Lewis Cook
Charles (Chuck) Lewis Cook, a resident of San Leon Texas, went home to be with Jesus July 12, 2020 at the age of 79. Charles was born in Benson Minnesota and evidentially moved to Fort Wayne Indiana where he grew up with his sisters Charlene and Mary Kay.
Charles was a kind man that would do almost anything for anyone; according to his sister’s he had the sweetest disposition and never caused any trouble. He loved Jesus and was a loyal friend to many. While attending Purdue University studying Forestry and working a summer job at Magnavox Charles’ friend arranged a date with the soon-to-be love of his life Sharon. Charles and Sharon were married for 56 years at the time of his death.
Charles loved being outdoors, watching western movies, archery, water skiing, boating and especially loved spending time at his parent’s cottage on Lake James with his family. He especially enjoyed the summers when his parents, sisters and their families spent time at the Lake with his family. He enjoyed watching his children in their different activities, besides his loud cheers you could always find him as a timer at his son and daughter’s swim meets. Later in life Charles enjoyed sitting on the shore of the Bay watching the boats.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Cook and brother-in-law Robert Nugent and Frank Love. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, sisters Charlene Hall (Seward), Mary Kay Neidhamer (John), Sister-in-law Suzanne Love, Daughters Shari Galletti (Joseph), Stephanie Cook (Trent Bobay), Sons Christopher Cook, and Charles Travis Cook (Eve), Grandchildren John Galletti, Tiffany Wallace, Madison Galletti, Andrew Cook, and Fin Cook, along with several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Charles will be remembered at a small family and close friends memorial service and scattering of his ashes at a later date.
