Charlene Lindsey

Charlene Lindsey was born in Houston, Texas on May 22nd 1947. She passed away on Monday January 14th 2013 at the age of 65 in La Marque, Texas and will be sadly missed.”
Charlene is survived by her daughter, Marla Mayfield Cox and son-in-law, Cedric Cox; grandchildren, Christopher Cox, Johnathan Cox, Destany Cox and Nicholas Cox, of Galveston Texas.
Charlene was a long time resident of Houston Texas and later a resident in La Marque, Texas where she passed.
Charlene loved the outdoors and was also in nursing for most of her career. Charlene was a very kind and giving person who loved to make people laugh and smile. She was very much an animal lover and would try to take care of everyone and everything the best she could. That’s the way Charlene would want to be remembered in her own special way.

It's just your way to always be there doing your best and showing you care, it’s just your way to always be strong, to listen and help should something go wrong, you’re there to depend on day after day to always be there, that was your special way.

The family will greet visitors on Friday, January 18th, 2013 starting at 12:00 p.m. with a 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Carnes Funeral Home - Texas City.

I cannot hear your laughter, I cannot see your smile,I wish that we could talk again if only for a while. I know you’re watching over me, seeing everything I do and though you’ll always be with me, I’ll always be missing you. You taught me that life is much too short and at any time could end, and when it’s time for me to go, you’ll be there to show me the way. I wish that you could still be here, but I’ll see you again someday.
