Carol Pamela Rose Eller
Carol Pamela Rose Eller [nee Lockwood] passed away November 7th 2016 at her home in League City, Texas. Carol was born on February 17th, 1940 to Johnnie Lockwood and Olive [nee Firman] in Ipswich, England, the eldest of five children. After growing up in Earl Stonham, Suffolk, she was married to Colin Stuart Barnard [Deceased 1989] and had two children, Sharon Joy and Paul Anthony, and lived predominantly in Ipswich, with short stays in Bedford, Folkestone, and Nottingham. Carol emigrated to California in 1990 to live with her sister, where she became a naturalized citizen.
Carol is predeceased by her parents, Johnnie and Olive Lockwood and husband, Colin Stuart Barnard.
Carol is survived by daughter, Sharon and son-in-law George; son, Paul; siblings, Barry, Jennifer, Dawn and brother-in-law Earl, and Roy; grandchildren, James, Colin, and Jackson, and nieces and nephews, Sheryl, Deborah, Richard, Gary, Sean, Charlotte, Jason and Susie.
Carol was a homemaker, and took great pleasure in being involved in family gatherings. She was mother figure to her many of her nieces and nephews as well as to her grandchildren, and had many life-long friends in England, as well as more recent friendships in the United States in both California and Texas. Carol was known for her open and loving nature. When times were difficult, Carol was always a reliable confidant and she helped many of those around her with kindness and support. Carol was known by her American family as “the sweet little English Lady”.
