Bobby Wayne Elliott
Bobby “Bob” Wayne Elliott (75) passed away in his sleep at home Thursday May 19, 2016 in Humble, Texas. He was born April 27, 1941 to Robert and Dorothy Elliott in Jasper, Alabama. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, watching any western old movies, working on his corvette in his younger days, and visiting with his son Michael, talking about guns and cars.
Survivors include his two sons, Michael Elliott and his wife Amber Elliott of Kingwood, Texas and Glenn Elliott of Irvine, California. One daughter Melissa Elliott Faulkner and her husband Rich Faulkner of Petersburg, Michigan. Two grandsons, Macen Elliott and Dylan Faulkner and one granddaughter, Hannah Young. One sister, Linda Harrigan and two nephews, Steve and Brian Harrigan of Fort Meyers, Florida. Bob is preceded in death by his father Robert N. Elliott in 1973 and his mother Dorothy Elliott in 2005.
Bob graduated high school in 1960 from Libbey High School, and earned a mechanical engineer degree at University of Toledo. He worked as an engineer for many years before becoming a bus driver for the Humble ISD school district where he retired from in 2015. Bob achieved Lance Corporal and sharpshooter rank in the Marine Corps Reserve where he served for 6 years, and also received the push up champion award for 250 push ups.
Bob enjoyed spending time out at the deer lease with his best friend Robert, eating out with his co-workers on school bus trips, watching his grandson Macen at his baseball games and karate tournaments, and watching movies with his son Michael on the weekends.
