Blane Vincent Nichols
On Friday, October 6, 2017, our beloved Blane passed into eternal peace with his family by his side at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.
Blane was born June 16, 1958, the first of twins in Rockledge, Florida to Clark M. & Betty K. Nichols.
Growing up he was an avid bowler, on the swim team and in scouts, eventually becoming an Eagle Scout.
Blane worked as a computer technician for the Johnson Space Center for many years, and then for Telligent Telecommunications.
Twenty nine years ago, on February 6, 1988, Blane married the love of his life, Jannette; and together at their home in League City; they raised four daughters: Rainell Ferrell & Dave Bushell & two grandchildren Dylen & Phoebe of League City; Casandra Ferrell & Phil Hoyland of Denver, Co; Alyssa Nichols of League City; Chelsea Gralnik & Aaron of League City. Also surviving are his mother: Betty King Nichols of Alvin; twin sister, Laura Lynne Hern & David of Friendswood, Kevin L. Nichols & Linda of League City; Clay M. Nichols & Lisa of Alvin and a host of nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 1:00pm with visitation at 12:00pm at the Chapel of the Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City. Under the direction of David H Hern & the caring staff at Carnes.
