Beverly Bowles

Beverly Jane Bowles, also known as Bev, Mom and MeMaw, a 45-year resident of Texas City, Texas passed away peacefully at 88 years old on Sunday, August 7th, 2016, in Lumberton, Texas under the loving care of her daughter, Pam.  Beverly was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on December 27, 1927 as the only child to the late, Daniel Alpha Guidry and Nettie Breaux Guidry.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert “Bobby” Breaux; they had 3 children. With her second husband, Eugene “Gene” Exley, she had one child and two step children.  After the death of Gene, she married John Bowles and she had one stepchild.

Beverly was very proud of her large family and loved them all.  She is survived by her children, Robert (Bob or Yoddy) J. Breaux Jr. and wife Frances, David W. Breaux,Pamela (Pam) J. Breaux, and Denise (Dee) E Rigby and husband Slade.

Beverly was also survived by step children, Ronald Exley and wife Marla, Marilyn Exley Sylvester and husband Charles (Chuck), and Larry Bowles and wife Suzie.

She leaves 11 grandchildren, Christine Hosea and husband Stephen, Brandon Breaux and wife Lauren, Brittnie Breaux and Derek, Ty Breaux, Leah Goodson and Lee, Kort Breaux and wife Taylor, Kaitlin Breaux, Kyle Breaux, Keeya Gillard and husband James, Carey Cotton and wife Nicole, and Colby Lee Cotton.

She leaves 26 great-grandchildren, Camille, Matthew, MaryFrances, Reese, Levi, Alexander, Harper, Dakota, Madison, Cayden, Easton, Joseph, William, Christopher, Andrew, Caroline, Conner, Garrett, Karlee, Cameron, Aniston, Abigail, Dalton, Dylan, Kailee and Kaida.

Although she was a Native of Louisiana, she lived in Texas for over 60 years.  Beverly knew no strangers.  She cared, she loved and she served.  She will be missed and remembered but she will continue to live in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and all who she touched. 

Beverly, Mom, MeMaw, friend is now celebrating life with other family members in heaven.  She had a good and long life, she served as best she could, she made friends, raised a family and now she rests in peace in the arms of Jesus.
