Barbara Walker, seventy-six, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday, 31st of March.  Barbara was born in New York City.  She lived in Charleston, South Carolina and later moved to Houston, Texas.

Her roots came from New Orleans, LA and she was very proud of her inheritance.  She loved to dance and sing and enjoyed music.  She was eclectic and had her own style.  She was a Christian, and an amazing friend to everyone who crossed her path.  She was well loved by many and known for her brown paper bag that had items such as fried chicken, red pistachio nuts, peanut brittle candy or choward’s scented gum!

She attended Trident Tech in Charleston, South Carolina where she went on to work as a substitute teacher for South Carolina ISD; she worked as a Social Worker in Brooklyn’s group home, and worked in Customer Service at Texaco Company.

Barbara is preceded in death: Lilian Dale (grandmother), Theophilus Trent (father), Mary Louise Saulter (mother) Wendell Sullivan Robinson (1st spouse), Moses Lee Walker (2nd spouse), Charles Anthony Gordon (brother), Bernice Trent Morris (aunt) , and Carrie Trent Grimes (aunt), Dolores White (cousin), Pearl White (cousin), Gloria White (cousin); Parolee Feld (Aunt Lee) In-law/Soul Sister and Tyrone Feld (godson)

She leaves to cherish her memories Wendell Anthony Robinson (son), Crystal Walker Green (daughter) and Dalfred Green (son-in-law), Christine David (sister), Lorraine Trent (sister), nephews: Richard (Ricky) David, Mark David, Damon Trent and their 5 children, Jaynell (Buster) White and Valerie (cousin), Darlene White (cousin) Neicy Robinson (daughter-in-law), grandchildren: Shondell/Tania Robinson, Tiffany Robinson, Christopher (Chris) Robinson, Chance Harms Robinson, Dalfred Trent Green, Deja Monae Green and Dalton Thomas Green,  great-grand-children: Kheyla, Navaeh, and Zoey Robinson, The Farrison Family (Aunt Tiny, Burnett & Derrick), and Best Friend/Soul Sister Rita Fitch, Daryl Feld & Naomi (Venus) Cooper Family, John/Regina Gray family, Green family, Keith/Janice McKissick family, Mungin family, Burks family, Trimble family, Claven family, Wright family, Johnson family and Davis Family; much love to the extended friends and family in Charleston, South Carolina, New York City (Lenox & Lido) and Alabama!

There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11 am at the Praise Chapel located at 18516 Hwy 3, Webster, Texas 77598.  281-338-6633
