Ambroise James Kerlegan
Ambroise James Kerlegan was born in Galveston, Texas to Gabriel and Rita Kerlegan on February 18, 1953. He was bapitized at an early age at Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he received his first communion and confirmation. He attended public schools in Galveston and worked a number of years at Todd Shipyard as a carpenter. Ambroise loved spending time with his grandchildren and the Tempation. He is preceding in death by his parents Gabriel and Rita Kerlegan and sister, Charlotte Kerlegan.
He leaves Precious memories of his life and legacy to linger in the minds of his daughter, Amanda Walker; his grandchildren, Janiyal Walker and Jayden Porter; sisters, Nellie Williams, Deborah Avie-Elliott (Don), Rita Robbins (Calvin) and Sheila Guidry; brothers, Larry Kerlegan (Annissia) and Harry Kerlegan; nieces and nephews, Michael, William, Erica, Gabriel, Aneisa, Joshua, Donald, Isiah, Larry, Anthony, Brittany, Fendi, Lee, Jarius, Morgan and Halle; aunts and uncles, Calden and Marion Francis, Willie Mae Ambroise and Thomasine Louvier (Norris). He also leaves a host of cousins, friends and extended family. Neighbors and close friends Wendell Burleson, Hubert Caldwell and Sam.
There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 10am with a chapel service to begin at 11am. Services will take place at Carnes Funeral Home. 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591. Burial to follow at Forest Park East.
