Alma Joan Long
Alma Joan Welch Long passed away on April 25, 2016 in League City, Texas. She was born on June 22, 1929 in Hoehne, Colorado to parents, Rueben Welch and Hattie Belle Bullard. Joan joined in marriage to Thomas Mason Long and were married for thirty-two years. Tom Long passed on May 27, 2008.
Joan worked hard all her life raising six kids and her grandchildren. She also worked as a waitress. Her hobbies included cane-pole fishing, crochet, cooking and dancing.
Joan is survived by six children, Anne Stanek, Charles Long, JoAnn Long(Frank Horelica), Tina Davis, Ernest Long and Betty Long; grandchildren, Sherri Rose, Shannon Hollingsworth, Kari Daniel, Dwight Long, Billy Norris, Heather Long and Misty Davis; great-grandchildren, Richard and Derek Rose, Savannah and Shelly Cook, Hunter Norris, Kaedon and Bostyn Nevills, Patience, Nevaeh and Layla Granger, Patty and Christian Hollingsworth, Jesse, Amber, Logan, Deanna, Harmony Long, and great-great-grandchildren, Aralyn Rose.

Joan will be dearly missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
